Dave Custons

  • Personal Trainer

Bio

Dave has been in the fitness industry for close to twenty years. Originally planning to go to college for physical therapy, he felt there was more hands on experience with personal training. While playing baseball in college and independent baseball leagues in the mid-west, he became ACE Certified in 1999. Over his playing career, he had incurred a few major injuries. With his knowledge of physical therapy and personal training, he has transformed those experiences into helping others with similar injuries-ankle, knee, lower back, shoulder etc.

Having had various roles in the fitness industry over the years, he has returned to his first love, personal training. Giving him the opportunity to truly work with people one-on-one, guiding them to their fullest potential and helping them improve their quality of life, inside and outside of the gym.

Bio

I was overweight my entire life, until I decided to make a change the summer of my freshmen year of college. I went to the gym every single day for two months straight. By the start of my sophomore year, everyone was complimenting me on the progress that I had made. On my journey to becoming a better and healthier me, I grew deeply attached to fitness. If I do not make it to the gym or haven’t worked out for a long duration of time, other aspects in my life (social, financial, mental, spiritual, etc.) begin to decline. I enjoy helping people and personal training allows me to combine both my passion for fitness and my need to help others. One interesting fact about me is that I was raised in Jamaica during my early childhood years, mainly in St. Elizabeth and Mandeville where my father is from.
